Swistraw Raffia is originally from Switzerland and made its way to California in the 1960s and 1970s - think of raffia in the most glorious colors woven into flowers, home decor … even clothing! Vintage raffia still has durability, brilliant colors, endless possibilities and an amazing history.

This vintage Swistraw used in my work comes from my personal collection found at the estate sales of Palm Springs to the colorful vintage shops of Palm Beach.

Using vintage Swistraw raffia and the original Hazel’s flower loom I weave flowers in vibrant colors that can adorn a sun hat, your favorite beach bag, a special person's lapel and even a bouquet.
