Welcome to my vintage Swistraw flowered world!

I began weaving my raffia Swistraw flowers (so many flowers) on a vintage flower loom and from there the flowers bloomed. Who knew there could be so many ways you can enjoy a pretty perfectly woven raffia flower? 

I love all those vintage tidbits that are gone but not quite forgotten. Growing up in Texas I wanted to put my own spin on things. I wore cowboy boots but always second hand and spray painted. Went to the prom but in a thrifted ball gown. I’m the friend you want to sit next to at the party for a few laughs, a little gossip, some fun cocktails and I probably have a snack in my bag. Let’s have a chat about vintage raffia, desserts you have to light on fire and who doesn’t want to try a vintage inspired cocktail? Mai Tais anyone?

My appreciation for things with a history and that are just a little cheeky grew to include vintage raffia. I wanted to share my love for raffia flowers with anyone who appreciates a little unique ka pow.

When I found vintage raffia with all the colors and the history I knew I needed to give it my own twist. So Ruby Buffalo was born. When you see a Ruby Buffalo flower you know has a colorful history but also ready for a right now moment.
